As the spring-summer 2023 ready-to-wear fashion month comes to an end, it’s time to take stock of our hair. Discover the most beautiful hairstyles from Paris Fashion Week.

The wet look, again and again

For once, the wet look – this effect wet hair – has established itself as the hairstyle to remember from this Paris Fashion Week. If at Vivienne Westwood, this beauty was exaggerated (with a lot of gel applied with a brush), at Coperni the sleek effect was also there. Same observation at Victoria Beckham or Balmain. Something to breathe new life into this trend.

The return of tied hair

The tied hair return to the podium. After having disappeared in favor of hairdressing without artifice, the high ponytail and bass made its revolution this season. Our favorites ? The hairstyles vestige of our childhood like the mini half-tail at Givenchy or the barrette at Chanel.

The Ripples Counterattack

If in previous years, perfectly straight hair was proudly displayed on the catwalks of Fashion Week, this season, the natural undulations of the models have been sublimated. At Stella McCartney, mousse and cream to define the curls were used. On Elie Saab’s side, the wavy hair was accentuated with mini braids removed a few minutes before the show.

The line moves

This has been the big hair debate for a year: should the parting be placed in the middle or on the side? Last year on social networks, especially on TikTok, Generation Z (those born in 1997 and 2010) tried to prove that the side parting – very widely adopted in the 90s to 2000s – was now cheesy. Very quickly, the millennials counterattacked, proving that a side parting (as well as the lock that goes with it) is and will remain trendy. An endless debate that even Paris Fashion Week failed to close Result? Chloé or Courrèges presented models with both versions.
