Choosing the right hair removal method
“For starters, the speed of hair regrowth varies depending on the hair removal method you choose,” Bouchra tells us. When you shave, you cut the hair without pulling it out. This will therefore grow back faster, and will reappear only 3 days after shaving. Depilatory creams have exactly the same effect, although their name can be confusing. The wax pulls out the hair. It therefore takes longer to grow back (about 4 weeks). We set our sights on the oriental wax : “Good for the skin, it delays the growth of hair and refines it over the long term. Finally, we can let ourselves be tempted by thepermanent hair removal. the laser and the pulsed light permanently eliminate hair, but over several months (it can take up to 18 months depending on the area). The bulb is destroyed, which prevents the hair from growing back. It is the most durable method of hair removal, but also the most expensive.
Take care of your skin
Taking care of your skin daily allows it to stay soft longer. Very important: after depilation, moisturize the sensitized skin. For hair regrowth to be of better quality, we perform body scrubs once or twice a week. The hair is straightened, easier to pull out.
Natural ways to slow hair regrowth
L’essential oil sage is effective against hair regrowth. Applied to the skin half an hour after depilation, it delays hair growth. In addition, lemon, cut in half (or in juice mixed with water) and applied to the skin, beautifies it and slows hair growth.
There are specialized products, developed to slow hair growth. These are lotions or creams that are applied to the skin after hair removal. We wait at least half an hour to apply them, otherwise, we risk irritating the skin or causing the appearance of spots.
To have beautiful legs for as long as possible, take your time. We wait until the hair has grown back before returning to the beautician. By respecting this waiting time, we avoid ingrown hairs and our skin will be clean!
Thanks to Bouchra Frikech for her advice on slowing hair growth.
